I'm a freelance writer who unexpectedly moved to New York a few months ago, after having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 35 years. I actually grew up in New York, but that was a long time ago, and I'm experiencing a lot of culture shock. It doesn't help that my living situation is unstable and all my stuff is still on the other coast.
